If I were a mermaid,
I’d let my hair wander in the ebb and flow of the tide.
I’d have rainbow colored seahorses as companions,
and I’d exhale bubbles that would float up to the surface
like balloons drifting into the sun.
Alas, I have four limbs and no fishy tail.
